Creating Content

Create content for any product, collection, page, or article in your Shopify store.

Navigating to Content

  1. Go to Content in the main navigation
  2. Select the content type:
    • Products - Product page content
    • Collections - Collection page content
    • Pages - Static page content
    • Articles - Blog article content
  3. Click on the item you want to edit

Content Dashboard

The content dashboard shows all your items with:

  • Thumbnail - Preview image of the item
  • Name - Item title (click to edit)
  • Assigned Users - Team members working on the content
  • Status - Current workflow status
  • Due Date - Content deadline

Filtering and Searching

Find specific items quickly:

Search

Use the search field to find items by:

  • Product or page name
  • SKU (for products)

Filters

Filter the list by:

  • Status - Show items at a specific workflow stage
  • Assigned User - Show items assigned to a specific team member
  • Due Date - Show overdue or upcoming items

Opening the Editor

Click on any item card to open the content editor. The editor shows:

  • Page information - Title and preview link
  • Content blocks - Your current content
  • Add Block button - Insert new blocks
  • Save and Publish buttons - Save or publish your work

Building Your Content

  1. Click Add Block to start adding content
  2. Select a block type (Text, Media, FAQ, etc.)
  3. Enter your content in the block
  4. Add more blocks as needed
  5. Drag blocks to reorder them
  6. Save your progress frequently

Visibility Status

Items may show visibility indicators:

  • Published - Live on your store
  • Unpublished - Not visible on your store
  • Inactive - Disabled or archived
