Repair Broken Links

External links play a key role in search rankings. Fixing broken inbound links helps preserve their SEO value instead of letting that authority go to waste.

Broken links, commonly referred to as 404 Not Found errors, occur when a user requests a page that doesn't exist on your website. Customers who click on a broken link become frustrated and may leave your site without purchasing.

Search engines consider this a poor user experience, which can lead to a decrease in rankings and traffic. Additionally, search engines may crawl your website less frequently if they encounter too many 404 errors.

It's important to monitor your website for broken links and promptly fix them to avoid these negative effects and achieve and maintain strong SEO performance.

By adding a redirect, you can instead send the user to the next best page available. When applicable, it's always best to also fix the broken link where it's found.
