Optimize Collections

Page titles and meta descriptions are key elements of SEO because they provide important information to search engines and users about the content of a web page.

The title tag is one of the most important on-page ranking factors for SEO. It appears as the clickable headline in search engine results.

Meta descriptions appear under the title tag in search engine results to provide a preview of what users can expect to find on the page. While meta descriptions do not directly impact SEO rankings, they can influence click-through rates and user engagement, which can indirectly impact SEO.

AI-Powered Optimization

CDSEO uses AI to generate optimized titles and meta descriptions based on your collection content.

Generating Titles

  • Your collection name and content
  • Primary keyword (if specified)
  • Your configured length requirements
  • SEO best practices for ecommerce

Generating Meta Descriptions

Click the magic wand icon next to the description field to generate an AI-optimized description. The AI creates engaging copy that:

  • Highlights collection benefits
  • Matches searcher intent
  • Stays within your length settings
  • Uses natural, compelling language

Credit Usage

AI generation uses credits from your account. Your remaining credits are displayed next to the generate buttons.

Handling Duplicates

Duplicate titles and descriptions hurt SEO because search engines may struggle to determine which page to rank for a given query.

Viewing Duplicates

When you see a Title Duplicated or Meta Duplicated error chip, click it to open the duplicates viewer. This shows:

  • The duplicated text
  • All collections sharing this title or description
  • Links to each collection for easy editing

Resolving Duplicates

To fix duplicates, edit each collection to give it a unique title or description that accurately reflects its specific content and value.

Some collections may not need optimization. Use the Ignore button to remove them from your error list.

When to Ignore

To restore an ignored collection to your active list:

  1. Switch to the Ignored tab
