Structured Data

Structured Data provides details of your products and site pages in a code format easily for search engines and language models to read and digest.

Search engines often show this information in the search results page listings, such as pricing, star rating, stock availability, images and more.

Sites with Structured Data tend to rank higher in Google and receive more clicks due to a higher click-through-rate (CTR).

Structured data improves machine readability, enabling more accurate retrieval and use in AI-driven search and answer systems.

Available Schema Types

CDSEO supports multiple structured data types:

Product Schema

Enables rich product information in search results including price, availability, and reviews.

Article Schema

Enhances blog posts and articles with author information, publish dates, and featured images.

Enabling Schema Types

Click Fix on any schema type to enable it.

Simple Schema Types

Most schema types can be enabled with a single click. CDSEO automatically generates the appropriate code for your pages.

Schema Types Requiring Configuration

Some schema types need additional information:

Organization Schema:

  • Enter your logo URL
  • Address and social profiles are pulled from your Shopify settings

X (Twitter) Schema:

  • Enter your @username

Verification

After enabling schema, CDSEO verifies that it's correctly implemented on your site.

Automatic Verification

CDSEO automatically checks your site after enabling schema. Due to Shopify caching, verification may take a few moments.

Manual Verification

Click the refresh icon to manually re-verify all schema types.

Verification Errors

If verification fails, you'll see an error message explaining the issue. Common causes include:

  • Shopify cache not yet cleared
  • Theme conflicts
  • Invalid configuration (such as unreachable logo URL)

Externally Enabled Schema

If CDSEO detects that a schema type is already implemented by your theme or another app, it will show as "Enabled Externally." This prevents duplicate schema that could confuse search engines.

Disabling Schema

To disable an enabled schema type:

  1. Switch to the Compliant tab
  2. Find the schema type
  3. Click Disable

Ignoring Schema Types

If you don't want to enable certain schema types, use the Ignore button to remove them from your error list.
