Uninstall

If you need to uninstall CDSEO, this guide explains what happens to your data and store.

Consider the following before uninstalling:

• Redirects remain active - Any redirects created through CDSEO will remain in Shopify

• Meta changes are saved - All title and meta description changes are stored in Shopify and won't be lost

• Content - All content will remain in Shopify metafields but will require integration on your theme to display.

• Structured data is removed - Schema markup added by CDSEO will be removed from your theme.

• Verification codes are removed - Google and Bing verification codes will be removed

1. Do not delete the "DO NOT PUBLISH/DELETE - CDSEO Assets" theme or you will lose your images.

2. After 30 days the CDSEO js and css files will be removed from our servers and begin to 404. You will need to save the js and css locally in your theme.

To uninstall, follow these steps:

1. Go to your Shopify Admin

2. Navigate to Apps

3. Find CDSEO in your installed apps

4. Click the Delete button (trash icon)

5. Confirm the uninstallation

• Access to CDSEO is revoked
• The App Embed Block is disabled
• Structured data stops appearing on your store
• Site verification codes are removed

• Your CDSEO data is retained in case you reinstall
• You can reinstall and resume where you left off
• Your subscription is cancelled through Shopify

• All CDSEO data is permanently deleted
• Analysis history and settings are removed
• User accounts associated with your workspace are removed

The following changes made through CDSEO remain in your Shopify store:

• Product meta titles and descriptions

• Collection meta titles and descriptions

• Page meta titles and descriptions

• Article meta titles and descriptions

• URL redirects

• CDSEO content in Shopify metafields

If you reinstall within 30 days:

• Your previous settings are restored
• Your analysis history is available
• User accounts are reconnected
• You'll need to re-enable the App Embed Block

If you reinstall after 30 days:

• You start fresh with a new workspace
• CDSEO re-syncs all data from your Shopify store
• Previous settings and history are not available

When you uninstall:

• Your subscription is automatically cancelled
• You won't be charged for future billing periods
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
• View billing history in your Shopify Admin under Settings > Billing
